Subteams

Everyone belongs to one. Most people end up good at two.

Subteam 01 / 06

Design & CAD

We model the whole robot in SolidWorks, run tolerance studies, and decide what can actually be cut in the time we have.

Subteam 02 / 06

Machining & Fabrication

Mill, lathe, chop saw and hand tools. If it has a tolerance, this subteam met it.

Subteam 03 / 06

Electrical

Power distribution, signal wiring, sensor placement and the battery management routine that keeps us alive through a match.

Subteam 04 / 06

Programming

Autonomous routines, operator interface and the diagnostics we review after every practice.

Subteam 05 / 06

Drive & Operator

Practice, driver training and match strategy. The person in the seat has the hardest six weeks of the year.

Subteam 06 / 06

Business & Outreach

Sponsors, grants, fundraising, demo schedules and everything that keeps the team solvent and visible.

A mentor working with students in the shop

Mentorship

Adults who answer questions.

Our mentors are engineers, machinists, teachers and former competitors. They teach safety, tooling and technique, and they are deliberately hands-off about design decisions. If a student wants to try something, we let them try it, then help them understand why it did not work.

Life after FRC

Robotics is a launchpad, not a destination. Alumni go on to mechanical engineering, software, medicine and trades.

Engineering

CAD, tolerances and design review are exactly how you are taught to work in industry. Students leave fluent.

Software

Real-time control loops, sensor fusion and disciplined debugging under a hard deadline.

Leadership

Running a subteam, a budget and a deadline with forty other people is a management course nobody charges you for.

Now hiring.

We recruit from every grade and every skill level. Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
