TiGears
Team 4470 · Valencia High School
13 seasons of design, building, and competition

Since 2013, Team 4470 TiGears has represented Valencia High School in FIRST Robotics. Every season, students design, machine, wire, and program a competition robot from the ground up — learning engineering, leadership, and gracious professionalism along the way.

Build Season Starts Now

It’s build season again, and TiGears is back in the shop. Over six weeks, students turn a brand-new game manual into a working competition robot — sketching designs, cutting metal, wiring electronics, and writing code late into the evening with help from mentors across the FIRST community.

How TiGears Competes

From our rookie season in 2013 to finals appearances at the LA Regional and the SoCal Showdown, TiGears competes the RIGHT way — helping other teams, sharing tools, and celebrating every team’s success. Even Travis the Tiger would tell you: coopertition beats competition every time.
